[TriEmbed] Experience with inspection robot projects?

 I just finished off my Ham Clock and display project:

I think next I'd like to put a web-controllable camera on a track in my
crawlspace to keep an eye on things without having to crawl down there.

Thought is an inverted T-shaped track with a hobby motor driving a couple
of wheels and carrying a camera and LED lights around the crawlspace.
Pan / tilt. Maybe an arm to lower the camera as needed.  A charging station
along the track where the car can pull in and top off the battery bank(s).

The picture below gives some idea what I'm thinking.   Anybody done
anything similar??
