[TriEmbed] Fwd: Question about controlling Brushless DC motors

Hello group,
I am new to the group. I'm an Electrical engineer, currently working down
in Goldsboro. I have some familiarity with the Arduino (I have used it at
work), and have only just recently purchased a Pi for my son (for which we
are both currently trying to learn Python). I have been to two meetings so
far (spaced pretty far apart, due to my busy schedule), but I enjoy reading
your interactions on this mailing list. I hope to attend more meetings in
the future!
Right now I have a question I'm hoping some of you may be able to help
point me in the right direction. I'm looking to familiarize myself with
Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor Control. Below is a block diagram a BLDC motor
system:

What I am hoping to find is quick and easy, off-the shelf available
hardware in three parts: 1) Arduino or Raspberry Pi, 2) A BLDC Motor
Controller Shield or Hat, and 3) BLDC motor that conform to the block
diagram above.
Likewise, I would need some direction in how to develop software to control
this.
I'm using this as a learning experience for controlling BLDC motors, not
necessarily for trying to build a system from individual electrical
components.
I'd appreciate any pointers in to where I might find both the HW and SW
discussion!
Thanks,
Van
