[TriEmbed] No-network access to Raspberry Pi via console cable

That is a shame, it appears that Prolific EOL'ed that version of the
chipset:

Prolific devices are almost as common as FTDI, maybe even more so. I
have not run into problems, but I know I have a ton of cables and
adapters that use the Prolific chipset.

Also, this is soft of a chicken and egg thing, if you don't have working
Wifi, but a much nicer way to setup wifi than what most using a nano to
edit the wpa-settings is to use:

SUDO APT-GET INSTALL WICD-CURSES

SUDO WICD-CURSES

Of course, the apt-get command wont work if you don't have an internet
connection, but if you could connect over ethernet temporarily.

the wicd-curses command also lets you browse available networks, etc. It
also makes it easier to setup the wifi to connect to any of series
SSID's.
