*Virtualization Open Source Projects - How Everyone can involve and
contribute*
------------------------------

In Jan 2019 monthly session, IEEE R&A invites Negandra Kumar to explain an
overview about current state of art Virtualization open source projects.
Virtualization has had its existence way ahead decades ago in multiple
specialized high computing environments including mainframes and multiple
classes of communication/networking environments. Containers based
virtualization is a common distributed environment in current information
technology world. The scope and applicability of virtualization and
related technologies such as SDN is expanding drastically creating a
positive impact in the industry.

In advanced Robotics & Automation field also, virtualization containers are
envisioned as a possible option to simplify specific complex use cases of
system localization. Running a highly specialized messaging
infrastructures like ROS from within virtualized containers can also be an
interesting utlization way ahead in future, when benefits of
containerization(security, dual systems based migration, workload balancing
etc.,) can be easily applied and extended to ROS based distributed systems.

In this session, Nagendra Kumar will explain about the basics of
virtualization and some of the related technologies followed by how the
technical community can actively involve to contribute. Considering
Nagendra's expertise and background, networking will be covered more.

This event is open for all those passionate in technology - from students
to senior hobbyists. All are invited.
