If it’s sold as APA102C and you get SK9822, that’s an eBay “not as described” - you’ll get your money back and can keep the LEDs.

Doubtful you’ll get APA102 instead of APA102C, as the C-variant costs more (and is brighter, see here: https://circuitmaker.com/blog/FunWithSuperLEDS)

I tried a 1M pulldown on my UV LED sensor. It gets the readings down comfortably below the 2.56V voltage reference.
