Yes, that is exactly what I am experiencing. I'll get it synched up at
home, thinking it has what it needs locally, but then on some later step
it tries to reach github and fails, stopping my workflow again.

I think maybe my problem is I am trying to use KiCAD on windows. I'll
give it a shot on Linux this weekend, maybe it will behave better. I
have a feeling it might actually read the .gitconfig there with the
proxy info, vs on Windows where it apparently is not.
