As an alternative to the Pi Zero, there’s the $9 CHIP* board, though I think they too are going to be playing catch-up for quite a while. I got mine through their kickstarter.


*What a stupid name - it’s very hard to search for. You have to search for ‘nextthing chip’ to find it.
