[TriEmbed] Driving 32 5v relays

If you already have relay boards with transistor driver, then all you need
is weak driver like 595.
If you have relays only, then I would suggest using high current version of
595, TPIC6C595 (or higher current B595 & A595)
No need for opto-isolators if you use flyback diodes.
