I have a Logic16 (the pre-analog model), and I'm pretty happy with it.  The only thing that I wish it had is an external clock option.  I still have to drag out my HP 1651B (with CRT and 3.5" floppy!) for state mode analysis.

I also have a PicoScope 3000 series which is also pretty good, but not necessarily within reach of the average hobbyist.  For someone wanting to save up for a good USB-connected scope, though, I'd endorse it.  Pico also publishes an SDK for writing your own software, supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux, which earns them a lot of points from me.
