[TriEmbed] Raspberry Pi & Detection Sensor

Check out this project  http://opencv.org/ and the website below. Basically it is an OpenSource Vision system with simple web cam. I have not personally used it, but the video is quite instructive. I am very impressed. I know we used to spend 10's of thousands of dollars back in the mid 90's for black and white vision system. I am amazed what can be done for the money these days. 

Here is a video of a water cannon that identifies and shoots squirrels but
not birds.
