<p>This exact thing happened to my Dell laptop. One day the BIOS
simply would not recognize the SSD. Getting a new SSD fixed the
problem. Alas, the data was not with us any longer. <br>

another computer. I use an external SATA-to-USB cable when
doing things like checking drives on my Linux PC. You can
get one of these adapters from Amazon for $6.35 + $2 ship to
adapt the Dell form factor to SATA: <a
