<p>John Wettroth (hope I spelled it right, John!) was pitching the
Rigol 1054Z. As owner of an MSO2072A, I'm very high on Rigol.
However I just came across this <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://www.keysight.com/en/pcx-2759552/infiniivision-1000-x-series-oscilloscopes?nid=-32110.0&cc=US&lc=eng">low
end Keysight scope</a>. Who knew that Keysight (HP a long time
ago) has stooped to appealing to budget conscious 'scope users
(sort of)?</p>
<p> Here's a very brief contrast of the base units:<br>
</p>
<p> <tt> Keysight EDUX1002A
Rigol DS1054Z</tt></p>
<p><tt>Bandwidth </tt> <tt>50MHz
50MHz</tt></p>
<p><tt>Sample depth 100000 12 million
(GND-MSO/DS1000Z upgrade bundle now included free!!)<br>
</tt></p>
<p><tt>Max waveforms/sec 30k 50k</tt></p>
<p><tt>Channels 2 4</tt></p>
<p><tt>Screen 768x480 800x480</tt></p>
<p><tt>Bus analysis $154 but no SPI! Yep (with
free bundle)</tt></p>
<p><tt>USB Data logging yes yes</tt></p>
<p><tt>Price $459 $375
(Tequipment)</tt><br>
</p>
<p>As you can see, Keysight's cheapest 'scope still lives in a
parallel universe. Anybody know if Keysight scopes are made in the
USA?</p>
