of getting my head around it myself so that I can escape the routing<br>
area and layer limitations of the free Eagle version.<br>

That said, aside from the head-scratching moments, I haven't found many<br>
situations where KiCAD has failed to perform.<br>

This has been overdue with me too, but I was holding out for 4.0. At
the moment it looks worthwhile to leverage the work Chris Gammel has
put into teaching folks. He's put out one public video to do with
4.0 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yFZ6PUwKL8" target="_blank">here</a>.
If others are more tuned into the state of his updated Kicad
"curriculum" I know many of us would be eager to get details. <br>
