It ended up falling through a few years ago.<div><br></div><div>Part of me hopes it falls through again. Atmel as a company, seems to be a lot more hobbyist and small business friendly. (MC wants $1000 to get gcc '-O2' optimizations for their PIC compiler, c'mon!) That is when you will see how this plays out. There may be a change in low volume chips, but I doubt the high volume chips need to worry much.
