Thanks for the reminder. My condolences for your loss.<br>
<br>
I will be at PCB Carolina at NCSU McKimmon Center, all day, this
Wednesday and will connect with Shane (and hopefully Paul and Carl).
The web site registration is an upper-right link <a
href="http://www.pcbcarolina.com/">here</a>. I'm going to bring a
pocket full of examples of soldering with the Nordson EFD solder
paste given to me by a very generous John Conti in conjunction with
last year's event. I'll be looking for folks who will mercifully
discuss surface mount reflow and rework soldering where semi-pro and
hobby tools (and skills) are all that are available.<br>
<br>
By happy timing a combination of stopping up air leaks, using
thermocouples to see what PCB temps were actually doing, and
compensating for the cheapo T962's time-delusions is giving me
pretty decent agreement with recommended reflow profiles now, and
the most recent soldering episode with Chip McClelland's trail
activity logger board gave results that were as good as the previous
results were bad. That is to say, everything soldered perfectly and
the thing "just worked." We're extremely pleased. Creating more
convective heating inside the oven is next refinement on the list.<br>
<br>
But I want to learn a ton on Wednesday and we could certainly feed
our observations orward into the next meeting.<br>
<br>
For this Monday's, <a href="http://triembed.org/blog/?page_id=292">November
10th TriEmbed meeting</a>, I think a handful of short "lightning
talks" is the right way to go.<br>
<br>
PS As usual the email subscription link and main web URL are at the
bottom of all of these list msgs. You can just go to the list email
page and click on "<a
href="http://mail.triembed.org/pipermail/triembed_triembed.org/">TriEmbed
Archives</a>" to read past email without needing to subscribe.<br>

Best Regards,<br>
