Hello Glen,
Thanks for sharing this. It turns out to be the perfect segue for
a policy discussion at the meeting. You see, "we" have a written
contract with NCSU that prohibits "sales or solicitation of sales"
at meetings. HOWEVER, this email list and the web site at
http://triembed.org are not connected to either NCSU or Splatspace:
they effectively belong to "us", as as a member of the set called
"us" I declare the email list and web site to be totally OK for this
kind of info. As long as we are very clear about where the dividing
lines are and help each other remember what the situation wrt dos
and don'ts I think we can avoid pushing any administrative buttons
at the university while still making it possible to inform each
other of opportunities. Sharing information along the lines of "this
OLED is available at xyz for five bucks", making folks aware of
local sources for goods and services, arrangements for group buys
not involving profit, etc, would seem to be totally OK, but now is
the time to get this straight so we can maintain our comfort level
for the long haul.
There will be more information about this tonight.
The spec sheet states that they may be used in series or
parallel, have an adjustable output from 22.5v to 29.5v @
10A and are current limited at short circuit to 14A. They
are DIN rail mountable, and require a flying lead power
cord.
I'm asking $15 each, and will have them at the meeting tonight
if anyone is interested.
