the UK equivalent of a hamfest in my checked baggage once and the
Manchester airport security made me open the case and show me the
parts. It was just a few minutes delay. No big deal. This was at
the height of the IRA activity over there and not long before a
square block of the city was blown up.<br>

But my guess is that large numbers of people are doing this every
day in western countries and if you don't pack a rats nest of
wires or ignore Bill's advice you'll be fine.<br>

with some
sensors attached as part of my grad school project. I’d like
to
take it with me on vacation to work on it some and was hoping
some of you had experience
in this area. I don’t think they are specifically disallowed
by the
TSA, but do you get the back room special treatment for taking
a
microcontroller with you as a carry on or in your luggage?
I’d like
to minimize the pain since I will have to make connections and
don’t want
to miss those because of hours of security BS. <o:p></o:p></p>
