John, essentially you mean the ATMEGA329 chip in the Arduino ...

I would add that quite a number of the AVR chips have the 10-bit ADCs built in,
different chips with different number of of analog inputs and sampling speeds.

Another set of chips with built-in ADCs are the PIC16F series.

I suspect that Paul may be looking for an outboard ADC chip that would
supplement his current microcontroller design.
