I don't know if anyone else subscribes to Embedded Computing, but this is an
interesting blurb (almost advertisement) on a new Bluetooth-LE module. If
anyone here evaluates it, please let me know as I'm interested -- but not enough
cycles of time to order the evaluation board and test it out.

NINA-B1 – The most advanced Bluetooth low energy module

The NINA-B1 <http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/WI0ArFY950x2Nyx00805E00> series
of modules are small stand-alone Bluetooth low energy modules featuring a
powerful Cortex M4F processor and state-of-the-art power performance. NINA-B1 is
ideal for IoT connected sensors, smart buildings and cities, medical devices, as
well as monitoring and control systems. Pre-flashed with the u-blox connectivity
software and globally certified, NINA-B1 provides fast time-to-market for
integrators.
Supporting ARM® mbed™ OS 5
<http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/a020050A8I0500sNyYFE9xy> and Nordic SDK, the
module and its evaluation kit (EVK)
<http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/MF0N0805IE9Ay00t50xY0z2> are open for
designers who wish to embed their own application on top of the Bluetooth low
energy stack. NINA-B1 will support Bluetooth 5
<http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/Xy50xuY0F000NE95802AIA0> via a software upgrade.

*The ideal IoT fit*
NINA-B1 is part of a family of modules which also incorporates the just
announced NINA-W1
<http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/NY00BI8y000AxEN0vF90525> Wi-Fi modules and
the ODIN‑W2 <http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/j8wY0A25I00950xFNyC0E00> gateway
modules, the only ARM® mbedTM OS 5 enabled Wi‑Fi boards on the market. See this
video <http://email.opensystemsmedia.com/o02DF00xE00AxI095NYy850> that
demonstrates an IoT sensor-to-gateway-to-cloud scenario using these modules.
