I will hopefully be at the beach next week and so won't make the
meeting. It might be good to do a proper MBED demo at some point, if
there's interest.

BTW to all who went in on the group buy LED strips order: did you make
anything yet? I used my 5 meters of 72/meter APA102 to create a 44x8
matrix. It's wired up in zig-zag fashion to minimize clock and data
wiring, and I am using this library for text:
https://github.com/AaronLiddiment/RGBLEDS. Max current draw at full-on
brightness is around 22A. I use a hacked PC power supply which can do
39A @ 5v. I keep it at half brightness, as they get hot at full power.
I'll bring it to a future meeting once it's properly mounted.
