The Forge Downtown is creating a community event and we are hoping to get
some adult teams that can really inspire people with some more complex
mechanisms - either mechanical or electronic. Raspberry Pi, and/or Arduino
controlled contraptions are encouraged! Check out the release below and

How Many Steps Does it Take to Move a Golf Ball?

Do you have a group of friends / co-workers / family members who like
tinkering and are looking for a fun challenge to do together? Have you
watched in amazement at some of those great complicated Rube Goldberg
contraptions that have a crazy number of steps to turn on a light or close

On the 15th of May (Sunday afternoon), we'll be hosting our first annual
Community Chain Reaction event in the gym at the Herb Young Community
Center. Inspired by a similar event at MIT

(the Friday after Thanksgiving), this is should be a crazy-fun event,
