[TriEmbed] McKimmon Center Prototyping Trade Show

It's called PCB Carolina <http://www.pcbcarolina.com/>, and it's a 
commercial vendor/services trade show related to PCB fab and assembly, 
but that includes a number of vendors offering interesting gizmos and 
components. This is aimed at professionals but open to enthusiasts. It's 
about as different from a makerfaire kind of event as can be imagined.

There are technical talks and a couple of soldering workshops, the 
latter being new this year and not free. Chip McClelland and are are 
doing the workshops and will report about what we learned, whether it 
was worth it, etc.
