This Thursday starting at 6:30pm will be the monthly Raspberry Pi Geeks
meeting at Splatspace (Durham Hackerspace). Details here:

(Yes, the meeting was changed to "4th Thursday evenings". Hopefully this
will be stable.)

Last month roughly a dozen attendees used five RPI systems (some of
which were put together from scratch at the meeting). A tutorial aimed
at PIR-driven motion detection driving video capture got started. That
continues this month along with use of Raspberry Pi cameras for still
and motion video capture. Both the regular and IR RPI cameras will be
available to try out.

If you have spare small PIR detectors to spare, Splatspace could use
some for a lighting project underway there. (There will be a "revision
0.01" demo and donated detector(s) are intended to become permanent
fixtures at the 'Space. Nothing to do with "security" or taking pictures
of anybody: the lamps will just be about lighting and fun.)

Be sure to at least glance at the Splatspace location info
<http://splatspace.org/location/> and take their phone number with you:
919-704-4225. The gate facing Corporation street is the most likely
entrance.
