[TriEmbed] Doc appliance

Cheap, 1280x800, 10 inch display, reasonably recent Android version, and facilitated via Newegg (I like that org). It supports a micro-sd and has good wireless support (802.11 and v4 Bluetooth), plus it has an hdmi port so i can connect it to a larger monitor for group viewing, sharing at a TriEmbed meeting, etc. It also has an OTG-capable USB Port.
This is just aimed at being a caching viewer with no local smarts. The web browser will eventually tie into the test equipment interfaces I'm scheming, but for now I just want a unified doc viewer that can see into my LAN storage and cache the frequently used stuff. The one bit of "programming" will be to semi-automagically create the HTML for convenient navigation. Search will happen on the house storage server: an Odroid C1 running Ubuntu with a 2tb disk drive (5 months since last reboot: I'm very, very satisfied with this little board).

To late! Now we can make that a proper thread here. ;)

So, what made you choose it instead of other similar tablets or even a
(used) chromebook? Size? Reviews? Memory?
