*Wednesday, May 13 at 5:30pm*

Topic: *Visual Studio Online*
Presenter: *Jamie Cool*

Visual Studio Online (VSO) are the cloud developer services (ex. source
control, build, test, agile) that enable collaborative team development.
Jamie Cool, VSO Group Program Manager, will take you through the ins & outs
of what VSO does and how to really get started with it. We’ll focus in how
to use VSO as a Visual Studio developer. We’ll walk through the different
source control options (from centralized to decentralized (Git)) and the
tradeoffs with each. We’ll also look at the brand new cross platform
continuous integration (CI) system. By the time we’re done, we’ll have an
app with a backlog, source in the cloud, CI builds, automated tests &
continuous deployment to the cloud… all hooked up into Visual Studio.

Presenter: Jamie Cool, VSO Group Program Manager
Jamie is the GPM for the Visual Studio Online (VSO) source control, build
and cross platform areas. A 17 year Microsoft veteran, the majority spent
building platforms and tools for developers, he is currently based out of
the VSO North Carolina office. Today Jamie is working to make VSO a great
set of foundational cloud services for both Microsoft and our customers.
