[TriEmbed] [TAR] LIDAR Kickstarter project going on now

Thanks for sharing that. Do you have any feel for the minimum distance 
their technique will accurately measure? I searched the discussion and 
couldn't find mention of this.

By the way, here's a sort of "kit" for a traditional (measure the 
transit time) rangefinder for $100:
